Community Organizations Hours: We are available 7 days a week for our veterans from 9 AM to 9 PM, although we can be available outside of those times for veterans in need. Driving Directions: We are based out of Verona, NJ - working remotely. Please contact if looking to set up a meeting.
Backpacks For Life is a 501c3 nonprofit that provides a truly unique and personalized support system for homeless and at risk veterans and their families that effectively bridges the gap between veterans and the resources available to them in three ways: finding/maintaining housing, coaching/mentorship and regularly distributing backpacks filled with toiletries, supplies and resources. Backpacks For Life is the support system that homeless and at-risk veterans may not have. At Backpacks For Life, we do not believe in a linear or one size fits all solution to the many challenges each veteran is facing. Instead, we employ a two-step approach that involves compassionately working to overcome a veteran’s individual challenges as a team and by connecting veterans with the extensive resources that are available to them that are within the BFL network. Whether it be holistic therapy, a suit, an HVAC installation, newborn assistance, or new tires, BFL works tirelessly to find the appropriate Categories
